Prominence of the Shrine : Sri Ramanatha swamy temple is very famous for Sani Dosha Parihara Sthalam. Lord Saneeswaran lives along with his family at this temple. On Saturdays Devotees first should worship the Lord shiva, ambal and then they should worship the Saneeswaran. Saneeswaran is living here with his two wives Mandha Devi and Jesta Devi. Also their two sons Mandhi (who is responsible for someone’s life years) and Kuligan ( who controls the time) . It is special to worship the Lord Saneeswaran by lighting the oil lamp.
Temple History : Thought this temple is for Sri Ramanatha swamy there is a dedicated Sannidhi for Saneeswaran. He appears along with his two wives and two sons. Once upon a time the king Dasaratha visited this temple and offered prayer to Lord Saneeswaran to get rid of his Doshas. To prove that there is a King Dasaratha’s idol is present here. Devotees generally believe that if they worship the Sani here the peace and harmony will prevail in families.
