Prominence of the Shrine : Lord Vishnu’s consort is Goddess Lakshmi. Wealth, Health, Power, brave, Victory and Education like the eight key prosperities are from Goddess Lakshmi and devotees will get all these when they worship the Astalakshmi.

This temple is located very closed to Besant Nagar(Chennai) beach at Bay of Bengal and it is constructed with four stories. At different part of the temple all the eight Lakshmi’s are incarnated. At the second level Mahalakshmi and Maha Vishnu Sannidhis are there and the devotees should worship here first and they can worship the other Goddesses later. On the third level Santhana Lakshmi, Vijaya Lakshmi and Gaja Lakshmi idols are there. On the First level Aadhi Lakshmi, Dairiya Lakshmi and Danya Lakshmi idols are incarnated.

Temple History : This temple is constructed based on the dream by ‘Kanchi Kamakodi Sri Chandra Sekarendra Saraswathi Swamiji’. Goddess Lakshmi appeared in his dream and showed him the place for the temple. In 1976 this temple was constructed by ‘Mukkur Srinivasa Varadachariyar’. Coimbatore Lakshmi mills have donated lot of wealth to construct this temple.  

Temple Timings : Morning 7 AM to 12 Noon,
Evening 4 PM to 8.30 PM

Temple Festivals : Navarathri festival is celebrated here in a very grand way. Diwali, Lakshmi Pooja, Friday of the tamil month Thai & Aadi are the other special days where many devotees arrive to worship here.
